Psittocolus tenuis ( Trouessart, 1884)
Hosts and distribution. This species was described ex Pionus menstruus (Linnaeus) (as Amazona menstrua ) ( Psittaciformes : Psittacidae ) from Ecuador ( Trouessart 1884). Later on, it was recollected from the same host from Colombia (Dept. Cauca, Río Mechengue; Dept. Valle del Cauca, Río Frío), and Guyana (Kartabu point) ( Atyeo et al. 1988).
