DISTRIBUTION. — This species is from Lord Howe I., not from ‘Novae-Hebrides’ where it was reported from originally.

TYPE MATERIAL. — Three syntypes present. Lectotype male, 14.0 x 5.2 mm, Lord Howe, Orthorhinus laetus Saund.& Jek, NHML. Paralectotypes: 2 females, NHML .

REMARKS. — The measurements of male and female are reversed in the original paper: 14 mm long is for the male lectotype, and 18 mm long is for the two female paralectotypes.
