The setae on the elytral dorsum are distinctly raised in males and semierect in females, whilst recumbent and only slightly raised respectively in T. dispar . The underside from the prosternum to ventrite 2 is entirely squamose. The pilosity of the underside is shorter and more inclined. The aedeagal body, in lateral view, is straight from the ostial area to the apex where strongly upturned to a hook; the aedeagal apex, in dorsal view, is for most part parallel-sided and narrow, hardly any wider than the apodeme of the tegmen.
Length: 4.0- 5.5 mm.
TYPE MATERIAL. — Holotype female, 5.2 x 2.6 mm, data same as above , BPBM. Paratypes with BPBM, NZAC .
