Material examined. 2 males and 1 female (1 pair in tan- dem) Site 6, J.A. Márquez col. 18-I-2018 ( UNRC-ZIIO 0391, 0392).
Identification. This species can be distinguished from the other Oxyagrion species in Argentina by the follow- ing combination of characters: dorsum of abdominal segment 8 black and segment 9 blue in males, the male cercus with a bifid tip and depressed in lateral view, and the genital ligula with long lateral lobes on each side and a v-shaped cleft on the apical margin. The mesepisternal interlaminal sinus of females is approximately rectangu- lar ( Costa 1978: figs 83, 84).
