Tympanoterpes archavaletae Berg 1884: 111 (Carmelo and Montevideo, Uruguay).

Remarks. Holotype specimen is deposited in the Museo de La Plata Entomological Collection ( Marino de Remes Lenicov et al. 2015).

Distribution. Specimens have been reported previously from Argentina and Uruguay ( Metcalf 1963a; Ruffinelli 1970; Sanborn 2013, 2016b; Sanborn & Heath 2014). Ruffinelli (1970) reported an example from Puntas Arenal and Carmelo along the southwestern Uruguay River, and Montevideo on the northern side of the Río de la Plata in the south.
