Subfamily Nereidinae Blainville, 1818 View in CoL
Genus Composetia Hartmann-Schröder, 1985
Ceratonereis (Composetia) Hartmann-Schröder 1985: 49 .
Composetia Bakken & Wilson 2005: 520–521.
Type species. Ceratonereis (Composetia) costae ( Grube, 1840) (designated by Hartmann-Schröder 1985)
Remarks. Composetia was erected as a subgenus of Ceratonereis Kinberg, 1865 by Hartmann-Schröder (1985: 49) with 29 species listed for the subgenus, including Ceratonereis (Composetia) burmensis (Monro, 1937) ( Burma) . Bakken & Wilson (2005) elevated Composetia to generic rank and assigned only two species to this genus, which are C. irritabilis (Webster, 1879) (Virginia, USA) and C. scotiae (Berkeley & Berkeley, 1956) (Nova Scotia, Canada). The other 27 species of Ceratonereis (Composetia) , including type species of this newly ranked genus are excluded due to insufficient information. The status of these 27 Ceratonereis (Composetia) species remains unsolved today. Wu (1967) did report C. (C.) burmensis from Taiwan. Lee & Glasby (2015) synonymised Ceratonereis (Composetia) burmensis with Neanthes glandicincta Southern, 1921 . Therefore, the report of Composetia in the present study represents the first record of the genus for Taiwan.
