Material examined. JAPAN: Honshu, Tochigi Prefecture, Lake Chuzenji, sweeping, holotype male (No. 51: 96), 16.vi.1981, M. Sasa.
Diagnostic characters. The species may be separated from other East Asian Thienemanniella by the possession of 10 flagellomeres, AR about 0.3, well developed triangular superior volsella, rectangular inferior volsella and curved phallapodeme; superior volsella joined medially and connected to the inferior volsella.
Emended description. The holotype reveals 10 flagellomeres and AR 0.30 in place of 8 flagellomeres and AR 0.47-0.48 in the original descriptions. Some additional characters are to be added: Tentorium 85 µm long, 13 µm wide. Wing length / length of profemur: 2.70. Palpomeres length (in µm):15; 20; 30; 45; 95. palpomere 2 ellipsoid, 3 and 4 rectangular, 5 long and slender; palpomere 5/ 3: 2.9. Transverse sternapodeme narrow, 30 µm long; phallapodeme curved, 43 µm long. Gonocoxite 93 µm long with 4 long setae apically. Gonostylus 38 µm long with megaseta 5 µm long.
Distribution. Japan and Russian Far East.
