Thienemanniella ginzanquinta (Sasa et Suzuki) View in CoL comb. n.
( Figs 7 View FIGURE 7 A–C)
Corynoneura ginzanquinta Sasa et Suzuki, 1998: 17 View in CoL ; Yamamoto 2004: 17.
Material examined. JAPAN: Hokkaido, Shiribeshi, Ginzan, light trap, male holotype (No. 347: 067), 7.ix.1997, H. Suzuki. CHINA: Shannxi Province, Zhouzhi County (34°11΄ N, 108° 13΄ E), 2896 m a.s.l., light trap, 1 male (BDN No. 04068), 10.viii.1994, Xinhua Wang. Yunnan Province, Eryuan County, Niujie Town, Meici River (26°6' N, 99°56' E), 2332 m a.s.l., light trap, 1 male (BDN No. 10081), 2.vi.1996, Changfa Zhou.
Diagnostic characters. The species may be separated from other East Asian members of the genus by having antenna with 12 flagellomeres, AR c. 0.5, hooked inferior volsella placed posteriorly on gonocoxite and LR of fore leg higher than 0.8.
Emended description. The species should be transferred to Thienemanniella on account of hypopygium typical for Thienemanniella , hairy eyes; weakly developed anal lobe, Cu1 extending beyond FCu; sternapodeme narrow, straight with weak oral projection; and stout phallapodeme. The holotype is with LR of mid leg 0.75 rather than 0.72 ( Sasa & Suzuki1998). Gonocoxite with a large, apically hook-shaped inferior volsella. (Gonocoxite with a large rounded inner lobe near the apex of posterior margin); VR 2.0 (in instead of 0.53). The following additional characters should be added: Tentorium 133 µm long, 23 µm wide. C length 350 µm, C / wing length 0.37. Cu 500 µm long. Cu / wing length 0.53. Wing width / wing length 0.41. C with 15 setae. Palpomere 5/ 3: 1.55. Gonocoxite 88 µm long, with 2 setae apically. Gonostylus 43 µm long; megaseta 8 µm long. Superior volsella undeveloped and distinct, inferior volsella low and hooked. Transverse sternapodeme narrow with weak oral projections; phallapodeme slightly curved. HR 2.1, HV: 3.6.
The Chinese specimens and the holotype are with the following measurements: Antenna with 12 flagellomeres, AR 0.42–0.48. Gonocoxite 48–75, 63 µm long with 2–4 setae apically. Gonostylus 30 µm long; with megaseta 5–8 µm long. Phallapodeme 30–33, 31µm long. HR 1.6–2.2, 2.1. HV 3.6–4.8, 4.1.
Distribution. Japan and China (Shannxi and Yunnan Provinces).
