Material examined. CHINA: Sichuan Province, Luding County (29°55’ N, 102°15’ E), 2243 m a.s.l., light trap, 2 males (BDN No. 12325, 12326), 7.vi.1996, Xinhua Wang.

Diagnostic characters. The species differs from other East Asian members of the genus by having bare eyes, 12–13 flagellomeres, and inferior volsella undeveloped, along the inner margin of gonocoxite.

Additional description. Antenna with 12 flagellomeres; antenna apically expanded, with apical sensilla chaetica, AR 0.20–0.23. Fore trochanter without keel. Superior volsella anteriomedially fused. Inferior volsella undeveloped, small and with crooked edge. Transverse sternapodeme 40 µm long, with week oral projections. Gonocoxite 75–80 µm long with 4–6 setae apically. Gonostylus 33–35 µm long; megaseta 5–8 µm long. HR 2.1–2.5, HV 3.6–3.9.

Distribution. Japan and China (Sichuan Province).
