Records from India. ANDHRA PRADESH: Visakhapatnam (reported as Rhombognathus papuensis Bartsch 1989 ), among rocky algae— Chatterjee (1995c). TAMIL NADU: Kanya Kumari (=Cape Comorin) (reported as R. papuensis ), among rocky algae— Chatterjee (1995c). KERALA: Kovalam (reported as R. papuensis ), among rocky algae— Chatterjee (1995c; 1996b).
Remarks. Although this Rhombognathus species is closely related to R. papuensis , there are some differences in need to be studied in detail to determine its exact identity. Chatterjee (1996b) reported ciliate infestation on this species (cited as R. papuensis ) from Kovalam beach, Kerala.
