Material examined. Thailand, Trang, Hat Chao Mai beach, sweep net at dusk, 7.340904°N, 99.37272°E, 1.Oct.2012 (1 female, 1 male).
Diagnosis. Female: the only Asian species of Culicoides with an unpatterned wing, 10–12 mandibular teeth and SCo distribution of 1,3,5,7,9–13.
Distribution. Micronesia, China, Seychelles Is, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand (new record).
