Holotype. male, CHINA: Tibet, Motuo, Maniweng, 2006.VIII., CX Liu.
Paratypes. CHINA: Tibet, Motuo, Urban District , 6 males, 2 females, 1084m, 2006.VIII.21, HB LIANG & M BAI; 10 males, 2015.VIII.16, HB LIANG, QT WU & ZZ HUANG ; 1 males, Beibeng Village , 2015.VIII.21, HB LIANG & ZZ HUANG ( IZCAS) ; 2 males, at light, 108K near Zamo Road, Qiaotou Hotel, 2015.VIII.23, J YAO & MQ WANG; 1 male, Maniweng , 2 males, Didong, 2006.VIII., CX Liu .
Diagnosis. M. tibetensis is distinguished from M. himalaya by the comparatively long file and the comparatively wide right stridulatory apparatus ( Figs 5f View FIGURE 5 ; 6f View FIGURE 6 ; Tables 5–6). The species is only distributed in low altitudes of Tibet.
Etymology. The species name indicates its locality and distribution area.
