Diagnosis. Non-collapsing, lenticular head with frontal grooves in form intermediate between H and X ( Figures 4 View Figures 4–9 , 16 View Figures 15–20 ), with usually large eyes with anterior orbits emarginate and distance between the eyes smallest below the antenna, with a malar space extremely narrow, lower face with H- shaped grooves delimiting clypeus and supra clypeus area ( Figures 4 View Figures 4–9 , 15 View Figures 15–20 ), scrobal groove sutured, mesosoma with a distinct groove on both mesoscutum and scutellum ( Figure 1 View Figures 1–3 ), propodeum with irregular carinae and carinulae, plicae usually complete ( Figures 13 View Figures 10–14 , 23 View Figures 21–24 ).
