Euryptera dimidiata var. atra Gounelle, 1911: 107 View in CoL .
On the examination of the holotype of Euryptera dimidiata var. atra Gounelle, 1911 View in CoL , we have found that this species shares Lycochoriolaus View in CoL generic characters as antennae subserrate and intercoxal process of mesosternum recessed and narrow. Therefore, we proposed the new combination. Euryptera dimidiata Redtenbacher, 1867 View in CoL actually is a synonym of Strangalia melanura (Redtenbacher, 1867) ( Monné et al. 2004) View in CoL .
This species is known only from the holotype.
Specimen examined. Holotype. female, BRAZIL, Minas Gerais: Serra do Caraça, (P. Dorme leg.) (MNHN).
