Description. Female. Integument black; a longitudinal median line on the pronotum and apical third of elytra, blackish. Sides of pronotum, basal two-thirds of elytra, inferior part of head, prosternum, pro- and mesocoxae, and extreme base of pro- and mesotibia, yellowish. Head with vertex finely punctate. Antennae reaching middle of elytra; antennomeres 1–4 shining, with coarse, suberect setae; antennomeres 5–11 opaque, with sparse, black, short, apical setae. Pronotum very finely, densely punctate; median longitudinal dark area slightly concave on anterior half. Elytron with a shallow longitudinal sulcus, originating from humerus and terminating at basal third; finely punctate throughout entire surface; apex transversely truncated, sutural angle obtusely rounded, external angle dentate. Abdomen with the urosternite 5 dentate in the external angle; urotergite 5 truncate.

Measurements (mm). Total length, 9.0–16.2; prothorax length, 1.1–3.0; prothorax width, 3.0–5.0; elytral length, 7.5–11.5; humeral width, 3.2–5.2.

Geographical distribution. Brazil (Rondônia) and Bolivia.

Etymology. This species is named after Robin Clarke (RCSZ), in recognition of his kindness in providing numerous specimens of the new species.

Discussion. In addition to the characters mentioned in the key Megachoriolaus clarkei Monné & Monné new species differs from other species by the elytron with a shallow longitudinal sulcus, from inside the humerus to the end of the basal third.
