Taxonomic notes. Described originally as a species of Scolioplanes View in CoL , it was not recorded further, but only cited under either Scolioplanes View in CoL or Linotaenia . Its validity was never questioned, but it was ignored by Attems (1929). It is assigned here to Strigamia View in CoL for the first time (new combination), because it shares all major diagnostic features of this genus (see above under “Notes on synonymies”). However, the incompleteness of the original description does not allow an evaluation of its actual relationship to other species, including S. acuminata View in CoL , S. munda View in CoL , S. chionophila View in CoL , S. japonica View in CoL , S. hirsutipes View in CoL and S. sacolinensis View in CoL , none of which however has ever been recorded from near the type locality of S. sulcata .

Distribution: known from a single locality in the eastern coastal region of Russia.
