Type species: Hyborhinus kallarensis Mohanasundaram, 1986
Diagnosis. Body spindle-shaped, gnathosoma large and tapering, prodorsal shield with frontal lobe short, scapular tubercles prominent and directing setae sc anteriorly. Legs with typical setae, tarsal empodium (ω) entire, coxisternal plates medially separated by the prosternal apodeme, anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) and their tubercles on coxisternal plates I are absent, proximal setae on coxisternum І (1a) and proximal setae on coxisternum ІІ (2a) and their setal tubercles are present. Opisthosoma with typical setae.
Notes. Hyborhinus linderae sp. nov. is the second species in this genus. The type species H. kallarensis Mohanasundaram, 1986 is an undersurface leaf vagrant on Flacourtia indica (Burm. f.) Merrill ( Flacourtiaceae ) from Kallar, Tamil Nadu, India.
