Description

Shell biconical, with short spire and swollen body whorl, nodose spiral ribs and broad interspaces. Whitish with dark dashes on the axial ribs. Aperture white and large. Outer lip with large, broad denticles.

Type locality

None given originally. ‘‘South Sea and Coast of China’’ is given as type locality by Kuroda et al. (1971) with no note of designation ( Higo et al. 1999).

Indo-Pacific. Intertidal zone to 10 m.
