Description

Shell small, thin, oval, white, inflated. Anterior margin rounded, posterior margin slightly pointed. Outer surface glossy with concentric fine growth striae. Hinge plate with two cardinal teeth and a ligamental groove. Distinct lamellate lateral teeth on the right valve parallel to the dorsal margin.

Type locality

154 m off Goto Islands , Tosa Bay, southern Shikoku, Japan .

Distribution

Japan, 40–300 m, sandy mud ( Higo et al. 1999), Conic Island Cave, Hong Kong (this study). New record for Hong Kong.
