LECTOTYPE. — Pierre 679 ( P), Cambodia, Kompong Speu, Koh Kong, Knang Repoe, designated by Leeuwenberg , Rev. Tabernaemontana View in CoL 1: 187 (1991).

It is unclear whether PITARD (1933) was aware of the publication of Ervatamia repeuensis Pierre ex Spire and has not indicated that he intended to make a new combination rather than describe a new species. He did not follow the spelling in the earlier publication. Given this it is best to assume that a new species was described with two syntype collections. LEEUWENBERG (1991) has lectotypified both Tabernaemontana repoevensis and Ervatamia repeuensis with the same specimen.
