Family Anthogonidae Ribaut, 1913 View in CoL
(syns. Anthroleucosomatidae pro parte, Acherosomatinae Verhoeff, 1929, Haasiinae Hoffman, 1980 syn. n.)
Diagnosis. Body with 30 segments (including telson). With or without lateral keels. With 3+3 (exception Escualdosoma with 2+2) long and trichoid (exception Egonpretneria with short and bacilliform) macrochaetae on body segments. Blind or with 8–12 ocelli on each side. The main taxonomic character of this group is the presence of bristle apparatuses, a bristled pseudoflagella, or several pseudoflagella on coxites of anterior gonopods. Posterior gonopods with no trace of segmentation [only two species of the genus Macrochaetosoma possess telopodal remnants on the posterior gonopods (another exception may also be Cranogona espagnoli Vicente & Mauriès, 1980 )], with uni- or biramous lateral coxal processes and with or without medial sternal process.
Type species: Craspedosoma troglodytes Latzel, 1884 , by original designation.
