Description: ♀: Body length 12‒15 mm. Flagellum strongly lanceolate, with 33‒36 flagellomeres; 1 st flagellomere (without anellus) 2.1‒2.3× longer than wide, 2 nd flagellomere 2.1× longer than wide, combined length c.0.56× eye length, 9 th to 11 th flagellomeres square, flagellum beyond the middle attenuated and strongly widened, widest flagellomeres 1.7‒1.8× wider than long. Temple strongly or moderately and roundly narrowed behind the eye. OED 1.0× ocellar diameter. Frons smoothened, granulate, with few punctures. Face rather densely punctate, shining. Clypeus with scattered punctures, smooth and shining. MI 0.5. Gena c.1.1× wider than the eye, with very scattered punctures ventrally. Genal carina reaching hypostomal carina away from mandibular base.
Mesosoma covered with pale brownish hairs. Notaulus impressed in frontal 1/5 of mesoscutum. Mesoscutum with dense punctures, finely granulate and ± opaque. Mesopleuron and metapleuron with coarse punctures, smooth and shining; juxtacoxal carina strong. Scutellum slightly elevated, about as wide as long, with lateral carina in basal 0.3‒0.5, with rather dense to dense punctures. Propodeum rounded. Area superomedia sickle- or halfmoon-shaped, wider than long or as wide as long, with smoothened surface, usually confluent with area basalis; anterior transversal carina caudal to its middle. Area externa smooth, with scattered punctures. Hind coxa densely punctate, with distinct scopa (length 1/4 of coxal length). Hind femur 3.4‒3.6× longer than wide, with scattered punctures in ventral 2/5 to 1/2. Tarsi slender, 3 rd mid tarsomere 1.6‒1.7× longer than wide. Areolet pentagonal, frontal distance between veins 2rs-m and 3rs-m 2× their width; vein 2m-cu in its middle. Vein 1cu-a postfurcal by 2× its width.
Metasoma strongly oxypygous. Lateral field of postpetiolus punctate, c.0.7× as wide as middle field, the latter with longitudinal striae and apical punctures. 2 nd tergite 1.15‒1.2× wider than long. Gastrocoelus strongly im- pressed. Thyridium transverse or slightly oblique, 1.0‒1.3× wider than the interval; interval narrower than median field of postpetiolus. 2 nd to 3 rd tergites densely punctate and granulate, aciculate medially; 4 th tergite with superficial punctures, more or less shining. 7 th tergite 1.2‒1.5× wider than long. Seen from dorsal ovipositor sheath 0.3× as long as 7 th tergite.
Color: Black. Metasoma black, sometimes with slight bluish shine. Ivory are stripes on flagellomeres 7/8‒11/12, narrow stripe of frontal orbit, sometimes spot on vertex. Legs black; apical spot on fore femur and frontal side of fore and mid tibiae yellowish; fore tarsus yellowish; hind tibia (sometimes also mid tibia) with subbasal yellowish ring. Wings slightly infuscate, pterostigma black.
♂: Body length 11–15 mm. Flagellum with 33‒37 flagellomeres, 1 st flagellomere 1.6‒2.2× longer than wide. Tyloids on flagellomeres 7/8‒16/18, almost linear, central, 0.5‒0.7× as long as the flagellomeres. Temple strongly and roundly narrowed behind eye. OED 1.0‒1.1× and OOD 1.0x ocellar diameter. Frons finely granulate, smooth- ened; ocellar field punctate. Face granulate and with dense punctures. Clypeus smooth, with rather dense punctures. Gena c.0.8× as wide as eye, with rather dense punctures. MI 0.2.
Mesosoma with whitish hairs. Notaulus impressed in frontal 1/6 of mesoscutum. Mesoscutum punctate and granulate, slightly shining. Mesopleuron and metapleuron with rather dense punctures; juxtacoxal carina present. Scutellum slightly elevated, about as long as wide, with lateral carina in basal 0.5‒0.7, densely punctate. Area superomedia halfmoon- to sickle-shaped, usually confluent with area basalis, 1.2‒1.5× wider than long; anterior transversal carina in the middle. Area externa smooth, with some fine hair-punctures. Fore metatarsus without apical tooth. Hind femur 3.5‒3.9× longer than wide. Areolet pentagonal, frontal distance between veins 2rs-m and 3rs-m 2× their width; vein 2m-cu in its middle. Vein 1cu-a postfurcal by 2× its width.
Lateral field of postpetiolus 0.5‒0.7× as wide as the median field, punctate, median field with strong acicula- tion. 2 nd tergite 0.95‒1.1× as long as wide. Gastrocoelus strongly impressed. Thyridium almost transverse, 1.0× as wide as the interval. 2 nd and 3 rd tergites densely punctate, with strong median aciculation; 4 th and 5 th tergites with very superficial punctures.
Color: Black. Flagellum often ± reddish ventrally. Palps, ± mandible, labrum, clypeus and face entirely or except black central stripe, frontal orbit, spot on vertex, stripe on outer orbit, scapus ventrally, collare and stripe on upper margin of pronotum, sometimes spot on tegula, subtegular ridge, sometimes frontal spot on mesopleuron, apico-lateral stripes or apical dumbell-shaped spot on scutellum. Metasoma black with ± bluish shine. Legs black; spots on fore and mid coxae ivory, frontal stripes on fore femur and tibia, on mid femur apically and mid tibia and tarsus frontally ivory; subbasal half or subbasal ring of hind tibia and sometimes 3 rd to 5 th hind tarsomeres ivory. Mid femur yellowish or reddish dorsally. Pterostigma blackish.
Etymology: The specific name refers to the lateral carination of the scutellum.
Distribution: Japan (Honshu), Korea and Far East Russia (Primorskii Krai).
