Description: ♀: Body length 11‒16 mm. Flagellum slightly lanceolate, with 39‒44 flagellomeres, 1 st flagellomere (without anellus) 2.4× longer than wide, 2 nd flagellomere 2.2× longer than wide, combined length c.0.64× eye length, c.10 th or 11 th flagellomeres square, flagellomeres beyond middle slightly attenuated and widened, widest flagellomeres c.1.4× wider than long. Temple strongly and roundly narrowed behind eye. OED 1.2× and OOD 1.1× ocellar diameter. Frons with dense punctures and transverse rugae. Face densely punctate. Gena ventrally and clypeus usually with rather dense punctures. MI c.0.7. Gena c.0.9× as wide as compound eye in lateral view. Genal carina reaching hypostomal carina close to mandibular base.

Mesosoma covered with pale hairs. Notaulus distinct at frontal 1/5 of mesoscutum. Mesoscutum densely punctate and finely granulate, but shining. Mesopleuron and metapleuron coarsely and densely punctate; juxtacoxal carina strong. Scutellum slightly convex, about as long as wide, without lateral carina, with rather dense to scattered punctures. Propodeum rounded. Area superomedia sickle- or horseshoe-shaped, slightly longer than wide or wider than long, often basal and apical carinae indistinct, anterior transversal carina distinctly caudal to its middle. Area externa with fine oblique striation. Mid and hind coxae densely punctate and with dense whitish hairs, hind coxa without distinct scopa. Hind femur densely punctate, 4.0‒4.2× longer than wide. 3 rd mid tarsomere slender, c.2.0× longer than wide. Areolet pentagonal, frontal distance between veins 2rs-m and 3rs-m 2× their width; vein 2m-cu in its middle. Vein 1cu-a postfurcal by 3× its width.

Metasoma strongly oxypygous. Lateral field of postpetiolus coarsely punctate, 0.7‒0.8× as wide as median field, the latter with c.12 coarse striae. Thyridium transverse, 1.2‒1.5× wider than the interval; interval about as wide as median field of postpetiolus. 2 nd tergite c.1.05× wider than long; 2 nd and 3 rd tergites densely punctate, with longitudinal rugae medially. 4 th tergite superficially punctate. 7 th tergite c.2.0× wider than long. Seen from dorsal, ovipositor sheath 0.2‒0.7× as long as 7 th tergite.

Color: Black. Stripes on flagellomeres 8/9‒14, frontal orbit (widened dorsally), spot on vertex, sometimes hind edge of pronotum and spot on subtegular ridge, antero-lateral spots on scutellum, round dorsolateral spots on 1 st and 2 nd tergites (rarely 2 nd tergite completely black), sometimes narrow apical margins of 6 th and 7 th tergites yellow. Legs black; fore femur and tibia with frontal yellowish stripes; mid femur apically and frontal stripe on mid tibia yellowish. All tibiae with subbasal yellow rings. Wings hyaline, pterostigma brownish.

♂: Body length 11‒16 mm. Flagellum with 36‒44 flagellomeres, 1 st flagellomere 2.0‒2.9× longer than wide. Tyloids on flagellomeres 8‒18, small, linear, maximally length 0.6‒0.7 of their segment. Temple moderately nar- rowed behind eye. Genal carina reaching hypostomal one close to mandibular base.

Scutellum without lateral carina. Area superomedia somewhat elevated, sickle- or halfmoon-shaped, wider than long. Area externa smoothened, with scattered punctures. Front metatarsus with apical tooth. Hind femur 4.0‒4.5× longer than wide.

Lateral field of postpetiolus 0.8× as wide as median field, the latter finely aciculate. 2 nd tergite about as long as wide. Thyridium large, slightly oblique, c.1.2× wider than the interval, interval as wide as median field of postpetiolus. 2 nd to 3 rd tergites with median aciculation.

Color: Black. Flagellum ± reddish ventrally. Ivory are mandible except teeth, clypeus, face, orbits (except narrow interruptions on malar space and between frontal orbit and vertex), scapus ventrally, often spot on propleurum, collare, upper margin of pronotum, pften spot on anterior mesopleuron (in front of epicnemial carina), sometimes spots on mesosternum, sides of scutellum, sometimes postscutellum, sometimes upper division of metapleuron, sometimes spot on dentiparal edge, posterolateral spots on 1 st to 2 nd /4 th (or 5 th) tergites (on postpetiolus sometimes hind margin). Fore and mid coxae and trochanters, sometimes spot on hind trochanter, subbasal rings of all tibiae, and frontal stripes of fore and mid legs ivory. Pterostigma dark brown to black.

Distribution: Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu), China and Russia ( Uchida 1925, 1926, 1935).
