Description: ♀: Body length 13‒18 mm. Flagellum with 37‒41 flagellomeres, strongly lanceolate, 1 st flagellomere 1.5× longer than wide; 2 nd flagellomere 1.1‒1.5× longer than wide, combined length 0.43‒0.46× eye length; 3 rd to 5 th flagellomere square, widest flagellomeres c.3.0× wider than long. Temple moderately and roundly narrowed behind eye. OED 1.0‒1.3× ocellar diameter. Frons punctate, partly rugose. Face densely punctat, centrally granulate. Clypeus with scattered punctures, smooth. Gena with scattered punctures ventrally, laterally as wide as eye. MI 0.8‒1.0.

Mesosoma with pale brownish hairs. Mesoscutum with desne punctures, granulate. Mesopleuron punctate, partly rugose. Metapleuron punctate, partly striate; juxtacoxal carina present. Scutellum slightly elevated, slightly longer than wide, with scattered punctures, without lateral carina. Area superomedia halfmoon- to heart-shaped, longer than wide or wider than long; anterior transversal carina weak, about in the middle. Area externa granulate and with coarse punctures. Hind coxa densely punctate, with small and rather indistinct scopa in apical 1/3 (sometimes scopa indistinct). Hind femur densely punctate, 3.6‒3.9× longer than wide; 3 rd mid tarsomere c.1.5× longer than wide.

Areolet pentagonal, frontal distance between veins 2rs-m and 3rs-m 2× their width; vein 2m-cu slightly distad its middle. Vein 1cu-a postfurcal by 1× its width.

Lateral field of postpetiolus punctate, 0.5× as wide as median field, median field with c. 15 weak striae. Gastrocoelus large, with ridges; thyridium slightly oblique, 1.0‒1.4× wider than the interval. 2 nd tergite about as long as wide. 2 nd and 3 rd tergites finely and densely rugose-punctate, weakly aciculate medially. 7 th tergite about as long as wide. Seen from dorsal, ovipositor sheath c.0.5× as long as 7 th tergite.

Color: Black. Ivory are flagellomeres 5/7‒11/14, narrow frontal orbit, sometimes ssmall spot on vertex, rarely sides of scutellum. Legs blackish; fore femur apically and fore tibia more or less yellowish frontally; mid and hind tibiae often diffusely reddish subbasally; hind tarsus sometimes reddish-brown. Wings with slightly brownish tint; pterostigma brownish.

♂: Body length 16 mm. Flagellum with 43 flagellomeres; 1 st flagellomere 1.7× longer than wide. Tyloids on flagellomeres 6‒17, oval, 0.6× as long as the flagellomeres, slightly basal. Temple moderately and roundly nar- rowed behind eye. Fore metatarsus with weak apical tooth. Hind femur 3.8× longer than wide.

Lateral field of postpetiolus 0.5× as wide as the median one, median field strongly striate. Thyridium slightly oblique, 0.7× as wide as the interval. 2 nd tergite 1.05× longer than wide, densely punctate, striate medially. 3 rd tergite punctate, with fine median aciculation.

Color: Black. Short stripes on flagellomeres 14‒16, palps, mandible except teeth, labrum, clypeus, face, narrow frontal orbit, spot on verte× and spot on outer orbit, scapus ventrally, collare and upper margin of pronotum, spot on tegula and subtegular ridge, apical 3/4 of scutellum, frontal spots on fore and mid coxae and trochanters, frontal stripes on fore and mid femora and tibiae, fore and mid tarsi ivory. Hind leg blackish; hind tarsus except metatarsus entirely yellow. Pterostigma blackish.

Remarks: This is the first record of this species from Japan.

Distribution: A transpalaearctic species, Kuriles (Uchida 1936) and Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu, Sado Is. and Yakushima Is.).
