Holotype: ♀, JAPAN, Kanagawa Pref., Hakone Town, Komagatake , 1000 m alt., 24.vi.1997, H. Nagase leg. (Kanagawa).

Description: ♀: Body length 13.2 mm. Flagellum strongly lanceolate, with 44 flagellomeres; 1 st flagellomere 2.3× longer than wide, combined length 0.56× eye length; 8 th flagellomere square, widest flagellomeres 2.0× wider than long. Temple moderately narrowed behind eye, dorsally 0.45× as long as eye. Frons largely smooth, with few median punctures. OED 1.0× and OOD 1.0× ocellar diameter. Face coarsely punctate and granulate. Clypeus with scattered punctures, shining and smooth between punctures. Gena laterally 0.85× as wide than eye, with very scattered punctures ventrally. MI 0.6.

Mesosoma covered with grey hairs. Side of pronotum with superficial punctures dorsally, finely striate ventrally. Notaulus impressed in frontal fifth of mesoscutum. Mesoscutum with dense punctures, ± shining. Mesopleuron and metapleuron densely and coarsely punctate, speculum with fine punctures; juxtacoxal carina present. Scutellum slightly elevated, about as long as wide, with fine scattered punctures and lateral carina in basal 0.2. Area superome- dia sickle-shaped, slightly wider than long, confluent with area basalis, finely rugulose; anterior transversal carina in caudal third. Area petiolaris rugose-punctate, with lateral carina. Hind coxa densely punctate, with strong whitish scopa (about 1/4 of coxal length). Hind femur stout, 3.3× longer than wide, with scattered punctures in ventral 1/4. 3 rd mid tarsomere 1.4× longer than wide.

Areolet pentagonal, frontal distance between veins 2rs-m and 3rs-m 2× their width; vein 2m-cu strongly distad its middle. Vein 1cu-a postfurcal by 1× its width.

Lateral field of postpetiolus c.0.8× as wide as median field, punctate; median field with rather coarse longitudinal striae and punctures. Gastrocoelus strongly impressed, with longitudinal ridges. Thyridium oblique, 0.7× as wide as the interval. 2 nd tergite 1.2× wider than long. 2 nd to 3 rd tergites densely and coarsely punctate, 2 nd tergite and base of 3 rd tergite striate medially. 7 th tergite 1.5× wider than long. Seen from dorsal, ovipositor sheath 0.5× as long as 7 th tergite.

Color: Black with some diffuse reddish suffusion of head. Stripes on flagellomeres 7-11, narrow frontal orbit and spot on vertex ivory. Hind edge of pronotum narrowly yellowish. Scutellum reddish, with apical yellowish band. Posterolateral spots on postpetiolus yellowish. Legs blackish-brown, all tibiae with subbasal external yellowish stripes or spots. Wings hyaline; pterostigma brown.

Etymology: The specific name is from Dr. T. Uchida, the most popular taxonomist of Japanese Ichneumonidae .

Distribution: Japan (Honshu).
