Material: RMNH Coel. 38764, two colonies, Farur Island, N of the island, coll. S.A. Mohtarami, 2007; RMNH Coel. 38765, one colony fragment, Strait of Hormuz, Qeshm Island, 18 May 2006; a fragment has been deposited in the Persian Gulf Biotechnology Research Center.

Remarks. Subergorgia perezi shows all the characteristics of S. suberosa , and we here synonymise it with that species.
