Current status. Valid species, Psychoda (Tinearia) boliviensis ( Ježek, Le Pont, Martinez & Mollinedo, 2011) ; see KVIFTE (2012).

Comment. The genus Tinearia Schellenberg, 1803 was reinstated as genus by JEŽEK (1977), accepted as genus by WAGNER (1990), and subsequently downgraded to subgeneric level as subgenus of Psychoda Latreille, 1796 ( KVIFTE 2012).
