Material examined. MNB: ZMB 2507a: gonopods, 1st and 2nd leg-pairs, syntype, slide preparation (Nr. 1743 Coll. Verhoeff), Konstantinopel, 1900, leg. Apfelbeck; NHMW: gonopods, slide preparation, Belgrader Wald bei Konstantinopel [Belgrade Forest by Constantinople], X. 0 1., leg. Apfelbeck.
Distribution in the Balkans. Turkey: Belgrade Forest (type locality) ( Enghoff 2006).
World distribution. Endemic to Turkey, present not only in the European part but in Çankiri, too ( Enghoff 2006).
Remarks. The only species of the dubious subgenus Byzantorhopalum Verhoeff, 1930 .
