World distribution. An eastern European species, found also in Hungary ( Loksa 1962), Republic of Moldova ( Jawłowski 1935), Poland ( Jawłowski 1939), Romania ( Täbäcaru et al. 2004), Russia (Golovatch 1992), and Ukraine ( Chornyi & Golovatch 1993), North Serbia (Obedska Bara, v. Obrež ( Makarov et al. 2004)).
Remarks. Following Strasser (1976) these are the first published data of the species from Greece. It occurs from sea level to ca. 1300m, in diverse habitats, ranging from pastures and caves to forests.
