Meum segetum Guss., Fl. Sicul. Prodr. View in CoL 1: 346. 1827. [1 October 1827]
≡ Ridolfia segetum (Guss.) Moris , Index Seminum [Turin]. 1841: 43. 1841. [November 1841]
Ind. Loc.:—“Inter segetes et in arvis argillosis [Sicilia]”. SIC
Type:—Not designated.
Note:— Jafri in in Jafri & El-Gadi (1985a: 84) is quoting a ‘type’ by Gussone in NAP, and this ‘typification’ is then cited by Reduron (2008: 2180). However , given that exactly the same sentence appearing in the protologue is reported, without any further information (“inter segetes et in arvis argillosis”), we believe that this was not intended as a true typification, but just as a way of citing the protologue information, as it happens many times in the book series “Flora of Libya ” .
