Material examined. Female dissected on one slide (P. 100303); from the type locality.

Differential diagnosis. Carapace reniform in lateral view, surface smooth; A1 7-segmented; d1-seta on L6 absent; e- and f-seta present on L6, but absent on L7.

Description of female. Carapace reniform in lateral view ( Figures 11A, B View FIGURE 11 ). Dorsal margin rounded. Anterior and posterior margins rounded, and almost equally wide. LV overlaps RV dorsally with pronounced flange. Ventral margin slightly concave. Shell surface smooth and covered with long and dense sensilla. Inner calcified margin narrower posteriorly than anteriorly. Marginal pore canals short and not branching. Maximum L around 0.8 mm. Greatest H situated behind middle, equaling 50% of total L.

A1 7-segmented. First segment with two anterior and two posterior setae. Second segment with one short anterior seta. Third and fourth segments with one short anterior and posterior seta each. Fifth segment with two long setae; sixth segment with two long and two short setae. Terminal segment with two long, one short seta and aesthetasc, which is about four times longer than terminal segment. All 5 distal segments almost equally long.

A2 ( Figure 11C, D View FIGURE 11 ) 5-segmented with two protopodal and three endopodal segments. Exopod with one long and two short setae. Aesthetasc Y long, slightly exceeding distal margin of second endopodal segment. First endopodal segment with two setae postero-distally. Penultimate segment with all four t-setae present, and with only one dorso-medial seta. Only z1-seta transformed into claw, z2- and z3-setae thin and short. G1-, G2-, and G3-claws all well-developed. Gm-claw long, GM-claw short.

Md-palp with short terminal segment (as wide as long). Third segment with three setae in a bunch on inner side, all pappose. Appendage very similar to the H. inachos .

Mxl-palp very similar to both H. anachos and H. io. .

L6 5-segmented. Basal setae absent. First, second and third endopodal segments with one short seta each. Terminal segment with two setae and one long claw.

L7 ( Figure11E View FIGURE 11 ) 5-segmented. Basal segment with all three setae (d1, d2, dp). Endopodal segment only with gsetae. Terminal segment with three setae, h3-seta longest and hook-like distally, followed by h2- and h1-seta.

UR and attachment ( Figure 11F, G View FIGURE 11 ). UR without posterior seta, anterior seta reaching only ¼ of anterior claw. L ratios between anterior margin, anterior claw, and posterior claw 2.2: 1.3: 1. Genital field rounded.
