Type species — Alcidion pictulum White, 1855 (original designation).

Diagnosis. Lateral tubercles of the prothorax placed after middle and scarcely developed; pronotum without tubercles; elytra with lateral carina; elytral centrobasal crest without long setae on top; mesoventral process with half of the width of a mesocoxa; basal metatarsomere as long as one and a half the next two together. See comment in the introduction. Number of species currently included: 4.
