In the CDO (KESSEL 1975) there is no record of platypezids from Thailand.

Later Lindneromyia brunettii (KESSEL & CLOPTON) was reported ( CHANDLER

1994). We found 17 platypezids in our material from 2004 and four additional specimens from 2003. They represent three species of Lindneromyia , two of them are new for the fauna of Thailand.

Lindneromyia argyrogyna (DE MEIJERE, 1907) View in CoL – 2 m: PF04/8; 3 m 1 f: PF04/28; 1 m: PF04/30; 1 m 1 f: PF04/35; 2 m 1 f: PF04/42; 2 f: PF04/43; 2 m: FSz03/18; 1 m: Trang Prov. , W of Ban Navong, Ton Pan Waterfall, 26. 11. 2003, broad leafed forest, sweeping, No. 27, Orson & Shiroki. In the HNHM there are identified specimens also from N China and Taiwan . A widespread Oriental and Australasian species new to Thailand.

Lindneromyia curta CHANDLER, 1994 View in CoL – 1 m: PF04/38. Also its male genitalia agree with the original description. Formerly known from India , Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Java, new to Thailand.
