Carpocapsa complicitana Walker, 1863: 411 View in CoL .

Sycacantha complicitana: Diakonoff, 1973: 154 View in CoL .

Material examined. China: 1♂, Jianfeng Town, (18º69’N, 108°78’E), Ledong , Hainan province, alt. 40 m, 30.IV.2014, leg. Tengteng Liu, Wei Guan and Xuemei Hu.

Distribution. China (Hainan), Malaysia.

Remarks. This species resembles S. ostracachtys Diakonoff, 1973 in the male genitalia. However, it can be distinguished by the valva with a longer and constricted neck and a straight cucullus. In S. ostracachtys the neck of the valva is weakly constricted and indistinct, and the cucullus is curved distally. This species is also similar to S. inodes ( Meyrick, 1911) in the male genitalia, but can be separated by the less robust cucullus with a pointed apex and the relatively short cornuti that are no more than 0.5 times the length of the phallus. In S. inodes the cucullus is robust and rounded apically, and the cornuti is more than 0.5 times the length of the phallus.

Note. This species is newly recorded from China.
