Diagnosis. Pronotum subquadrate, sides arcuate, converging toward base and apex, widest at or slightly forward of middle; surface coarsely punctate. Posterior process of prosternum angular, closer to base than apex. Elytra coarsely sculptured, shiny, with tubercles coalescing to form transverse rugae. Profemur subdentate in the male. Females with ental protibial spur much longer and stouter than ectal. Plantar groove of probasitarsomere uninterrupted; pencil of setae at apex obsolescent.
Measurements. Males: length 15.2–17.4 mm; width 6.5–6.7 mm. Females: length 15.3–16.0 mm; width 6.7–7.4 mm.
Types. Holotype, male ( CASC NO. 2833) and allotype, female ( CASC No. 2832): Siskiyou County California, Dry Lake, Klamath National Forest , September 17, 1912, Ralph Hopping, collector.

Distribution. Central California to southern Oregon ( Map 3 View Maps 1–5 ).
Remarks. Most of the specimens seen were from the type locality. Collections were made from June to September. Boddy (1965) reported it as “not common” in southwestern Oregon.
