Ameiva fuliginosa (Cope 1892, 132). McCranie & Gotte (2014) provided a taxonomic and systematic study of this species and corrected the previous misapplication of this species to A. ameiva (Linnaeus 1758 [p. 202]). Solís et al. (2014) “mistyped” 1978 for Linnaeus 1758.
