Basionym: Entyloma anadelphiae Vienn. -Bourg., Bull. Soc. Bot. France 104: 273, 1957.

Type: —On Anadelphia pumila Jacq. -Fél. ( Poaceae ). GUINEA. Kindia Region: Foulaya near Kindia, wet sandstone, January 1957, leg. G. Viennot-Bourgin (holotype, PC; isotype, H. U. V. 13 669!).

Sori in leaves and spatheoles, covered by the epidermis, forming flat, lead-colored streaks or patches, limited by veins, 0.5–11.0 × 0.1–0.5 mm, amphigenous, non-erumpent. Spore mass blackish brown, agglutinated to semi-agglutinated. Spores embedded in leaf tissue, packed in elongated or irregular groups, sometimes single, subglobose, broadly ellipsoidal, subpolygonal, ovoid or slightly irregular, (9–)9.5–15.5(–18.5) × (7.5–)8.5–12.5(–14.5) (12.9 ± 1.7 × 10.8 ± 1.2) μm (n = 200), medium olivaceous brown, sometimes with an appendage ( Figs 7, 8 View FIGURES 1–10 ); wall two-layered, 1.2–3.0(–3.8) μm thick; inner layer evenly thickened, 0.4–1.0 μm thick, slightly lighter in color than the outer layer ( Figs 5, 6 View FIGURES 1–10 ), sometimes difficult to be seen; outer layer (as seen by LM) sometimes laminated, with up to 3(–4), hardly distinguishable layers ( Figs 5, 6 View FIGURES 1–10 ), smooth. In SEM rugulose.

Specimen examined: — Isotype ( H. U. V. 13 669).

Known host and distribution: —On Poaceae : Anadelphia pumila , Africa ( Guinea) (Fig. 11). Known only from the type collection.
