Remarks. The genus was recently redescribed and the species diversity expanded significantly ( Sanborn 2018a). Their laterally expanded pronotum and curled timbal covers on the posterior timbal cavity can distinguish species of Procollina .

Distribution. Species of this genus are generally found at altitude ( Sanborn 2018a). The genus is restricted to Mexico and Central America with records from Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Panama ( Metcalf 1963c; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2013; 2014; 2018a).
