Distribution. Korean Peninsula; China: Shanghai, Zhejiang, Taiwan.

Comments. Löbl (1973) described this species from North Korea, and 34 paratypes collected by H. Sauter from ‘ Akan, Hokkaido, Japan’ in December 1907 were included in the type series. However, according to Nomura (2004) and Shibata et al. (2013), the ‘ Akan’ was probably a misreading of ‘ Akau’ in Taiwan, where Sauter collected many pselaphines in the same month and year. Therefore , B. orientalis was excluded from the Japanese pselaphine fauna. This species was firstly reported from China (Zhejiang and Shanghai) by Yin et al. (2011: 47). Additional collecting data from the same location ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 A) further confirms the presence of this species in Shanghai .
