Description: Measurements are of a paratype male, followed by those of a paratype female within round brackets.

Body length 3.35 (3.80); maximum width 1.20 (1.40).

Coloration: Generally black, with apex of tylus, a small median basal spot on head, most of posterior half of pronotum particularly laterally and, in the middle, broad lateral (outer 1/2 to 2/3 width) areas of clavus and corium, and narrow outer areas of membrane, contrastingly pale. Coxae black except at apex, femora black with base and apex testaceous, tibiae and tarsi testaceous with bases and apices fuscous, other details as in original description.

Structure: Head rugosely punctae and densely clothed with short white pubescence. Length of head 0.74 (0.80); width across eyes 1.00 (1.10); interocular space 0.60 (0.60); interocellar space 0.29 (0.30); eye-ocellar space 0.11(0.11); eye length 0.30 (0.30); eye width 0.20 (0.20). Labium extending to hind coxae, 1 st segment reaching base of head, length of segments: I 0.53 (0.60); II 0.53 (0.57); III 0.45 (0.40); IV 0.41 (0.38). Antennae with 3 rd and 4 th segments subequal in length, length of segments: I 0.30 (0.34); II 0.0.60 (0.53); III 0.55 (0.68); IV 0.64 (0.68).

Thorax: Pronotum very coarsely punctae with a central impression, and clothed with white decumbent pubescence anteriorly; median length 0.70 (0.76); width at anterior margin 0.65 (0.80); width at posterior margin 1.14 (1.30). Scutellum very coarsely punctae and clothed with decumbent white pubescence; length 0.57 (0.60); width 0.68 (0.70). Length of hemelytra 2.60 (2.66); length of corium 1.78 (1.82); claval commissure 0.38 (0.38), corium clothed with sparse non-decumbent setae.

Abdomen: All genitalia details generally as in N. vinitor .

Male: Pygophore, paramere, and aedeagus details as in N. vinitor .

Female: Spermatheca short, 2–3 twisted, not quite coiled; apical sac part slightly narrower than subapical part.

Distribution. Micronesia ( Wake, Marshall and Gilbert Islands).

Diagnosis. N. picipes is superficially similar to N. vinitor but differs from it in the following: legs (particularly femora) almost completely uniformly black; extensive areas on head, scutellum, and pronotum, and areas on hemelytra, fuscous; thoracic pleura and abdominal venter mostly fuscous in male, with more extensive fuscous patches in female; spermatheca rather short, apical part slightly narrower than subapical part.
