Trypetesa Norman, 1903: 369 Type species. Trypetesa lampas (Hancock, 1849) .

Diagnosis. Trypetesid with pad-like knobs on 1–2 pairs of terminal cirri, mantle sac asymmetrical or spiral. Remarks. In the review by Kolbasov (2009), Trypetesa contains five species.
