Amictoides acutipennis Kozhanshikov, 1956: 414 , holotype in ZIN. Type locality: Azerbaijan, Darasham .

Material examined: 6 ♁ Azerbaijan, Talysh Zuvand, Kalvaz vill., 1600 m, 22–27.vii.2008, leg. Pljushtch.

Redescription. Head. Frons and vertex densely brownish hairy. Eyes roundish, very large, EI 0.73. Antennae of half forewing length with 37–39 pecten.

Thorax. Wings. Wingspan 25–27 mm, forewing length 12–13 mm. Forewings stretched, costal margin straight or slightly concave in the first third. Apex roundish, termen oblique or roundish. Greyish brown, glossy. Mostly hair-like and very weak lanceolate scales mixed with short, bifurcated scales. FI 2.2. Hindwings are lighter greyish brown.

Abdomen. Covered with short brownish hair, slightly protruding the hindwings.

Male genitalia. GP 4159 ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 33–41. 33 ). Long and slender in general appearance. Tegumen distinctly pointed, broadly folded laterally. When closed, valvae reach the distal end of tegumen. Valvae broad, the clasper of the sacculus distally covered with 6–7 inwardly bent spines. Cucullus short, directed downwardly. Vinculum triangular, saccus long and very slender. Phallus slightly bent, hammer-shaped, two-lobed distally with a ventral inversion.

Female. Unknown.

Larval case. Unknown.

Distribution. Originally described from two males from the Araks valley in Azerbaijan. At present more material is available from the south-eastern part of Azerbaijan in the Talysh district.
