Type material. Holotype male from Reserva Etnica Waorani , Orellana, Ecuador, June 22, 1996, T. Erwin, D. Silva, deposited USNM PBI_OON 05798 . Paratypes: same locality and collector of holotype; Oct. 6, 1994, 1♀ ( USNM PBI _ OON 05829); Oct. 5, 1995, 3♂ 3♀ ( USNM PBI _ OON 05822) .

Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality. It is to be treated as a noun in apposition.

Diagnosis. The species resembles C. itabaiana sp. nov., C. orellana sp. nov. and C. pocone sp. nov., by the smooth carapace, but it can be distinguished from all these by the PME smaller than ALE and PLE ( Figs 116E View FIGURES 116 , 119E View FIGURES 119 ).

Description. Male ( PBI _OON 05798). Total length: 1.31. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace orange-brown, ovoid in dorsal view, pars cephalica slightly elevated in lateral view, surface of elevated portion of pars cephalica smooth, sides smooth, lateral denticles dorsal on rebordered margin and visible only in lateral view, very flat; lateral margin with sharply pointed denticles. Clypeus straight in front view, low, ALE separated from edge of carapace by less than their radius, slightly less than ALE radius. Eyes: PME very small, ALE, PLE largest than PME; ALE separated by less than their radius, PLE-PME separated by PME radius to PME diameter. Sternum pale orange, not fused to carapace, furrow smooth, surface smooth, microsculpture absent, anterior margin with continuous transverse groove, posterior margin not extending posteriorly of coxae IV, very shallow groove at anterior margin; setae originating from surface. Mouthparts: Chelicerae, endites and labium orange-brown. Chelicerae anterior face unmodified, small brush in median position at inner margin; retromargin without teeth; fangs without tooth-like projections; paturon inner margin with brush, laminate groove absent. Labium anterior margin indented at middle. Endites anteromedian part forming a groove between serrula and the apical portion. ABDOMEN: rounded posteriorly; dorsum soft portions pale white. Pedicel scuto-pedicel region unmodified, plumose setae absent. Dorsal scutum orange-brown, middle surface smooth, sides smooth. Epigastric scutum anterior spiracles secondary openings at level of epigastric furrow in an indent. Postepigastric scutum orange-brown, long, semicircular, without posteriorly directed lateral apodemes. Spinneret scutum narrow. Dorsum setae sparse LEGS: pale orange. GENI- TALIA: Epigastric region with sperm pore oval, situated in front of anterior spiracles, rebordered. Palp proximal segments pale orange. Conductor flattened laterally, with short dorso-distal narrow process at tip; embolar tip a translucent tube with very long and narrow embolar distal process; embolar prolateral process narrow, very long, with narrow translucent dorsal area ( Figs 116H View FIGURES 116 , 117A View FIGURES 117 ̅D, 118C̅F).

Female ( PBI _OON 05829). As in male except as noted. Total length: 1.40. CEPHALOTHORAX: Mouthparts: paturon inner margin with short inter-digitating setae. GENITALIA: internal genitalia subquadrate, lateral apodemes short and triangular forming a basal carina at anterior sclerotized wall area, receptaculum rounded ( Fig. 119H View FIGURES 119 ).
