Etymology. The specific name refers to the sternum of males and females, with an unusual posterior extended area.
Diagnosis. Males and females differ from all other species of the group, being easily recognized by the shape of the sternum, with the posterior end extending behind the bases of coxae IV ( Figs 25F View FIGURES 25 , 27C View FIGURES 27 , 29F View FIGURES 29 ).
Description. Male ( MPEG 16076 PBI _OON 38843). Total length: 1.51. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace orange-brown, broadly oval in dorsal view, pars cephalica strongly elevated in lateral view, surface of elevated portion of pars cephalica granulate, sides granulate; lateral margin without denticles. Clypeus straight in front view, around one and a half times ALE diameter. Eyes relatively large, all subequal; ALE separated by more than their diameter, PLE-PME separated by less than PME radius. Sternum orange-brown, fused to carapace, furrow with rows of small pits, surface finely punctuate, microsculpture everywhere but middle, anterior margin with semicircular depression in the middle half, posterior margin extending posteriorly beyond anterior edges of coxae IV as single extension, posterior end stout; setae originating from surface. Mouthparts: Chelicerae, endites and labium orangebrown. Chelicerae anterior face unmodified; retromargin without teeth; fangs without tooth-like projections; paturon inner margin with brush, laminate groove absent. Labium anterior margin indented at middle. Endites anteromedian part forming a groove between serrula and the apical part. ABDOMEN: rounded posteriorly; dorsum soft portions orange-brown. Pedicel scuto-pedicel region with W-shaped scutal ridge, plumose setae lateral of pedicel, very few plumose setae; ridge double, dorsal one larger, ventral one very small. Dorsal scutum orange-brown, middle surface reticulate, sides reticulate. Epigastric scutum anterior spiracles secondary openings at level of epigastric furrow in an indent. Postepigastric scutum orange-brown, almost semicircular, fused to epigastric scutum, without posteriorly directed lateral apodemes, with clear seam at furrow. Spinneret scutum large. LEGS: orange-brown. GENITALIA: Epigastric region with sperm pore circular, situated in front of anterior spiracles, rebordered. Palp proximal segments orange-brown. Embolar set very long; conductor narrowing and flattening laterally towards end, distal tip flat and conical ( Figs 28B View FIGURES 28 ̅D). Embolar tip with very short embolar distal process; embolar prolateral process flattened, with very short translucent area ( Figs 26A View FIGURES 26 ̅D, 28A̅D).
Female ( IBSP 68061 PBI _OON 25986). As in male except as noted. Total length 1.63. CEPHALOTHORAX: Mouthparts: paturon inner margin with short inter-digitating setae. GENITALIA: internal genitalia large, domed, lateral apodemes short and sinuous and rounded receptaculum ( Fig. 29H View FIGURES 29 ).
