Gamasomorpha simplex: Simon, 1893a: 301 View in CoL .

Gamasomorpha wasmanniae Mello-Leitão, 1939: 144 , figs a̅b (Holotype female, from Alta Gracia, La Granja, Córdoba, Ar- gentina, C. Diagnosis. Males of the species resembles to C. lorenzo sp. nov., by the presence of pairs of enlarged setae in the inner margin of the chelicerae paturon ( Figs 4D View FIGURES 4 , 5A View FIGURES 5 ̅D, 23E), but can be distinguished form the last by the larger eyes and narrower clypeus ( Figs 3G View FIGURES 3 , 23E View FIGURES 23 ). Females resembles those of C. chicote sp. nov., C. lavras sp. nov. and C. sternalis sp. nov. by the shape of the internal genitalia ( Figs 4B View FIGURES 4 , 19I View FIGURES 19 , 22F View FIGURES 22 , 30H View FIGURES 30 ), can be distinguished from the last by the less projected posterior portion of sternum and from the other two species by the shape of the genitalia with shorter lateral apodems and oval, elongate receptaculum ( Figs 2G View FIGURES 2 , 4B View FIGURES 4 ).

Labium anterior margin not indented at middle. Endites anteromedian part forming a groove between serrula and the apical portion. ABDOMEN: rounded posteriorly; dorsum soft portions pale white. Book lung covers slightly elevated. Pedicel scuto-pedicel region unmodified, plumose setae absent. Dorsal scutum orange-brown, middle surface reticulate, sides reticulate. Epigastric scutum anterior spiracles secondary openings at level of epigastric furrow in an indent. Postepigastric scutum orange-brown, almost semicircular, without posteriorly directed lateral apodemes, with clear seam at furrow. Spinneret scutum large. LEGS: orange-brown. GENITALIA: Epigastric region with sperm pore circular, situated at level of posterior spiracles, rebordered. Palp proximal segments orange-brown. Conductor narrowing towards end ( Fig. 6E View FIGURES 6 ), distal tip narrow and subdistally downwards curved. Embolar tip a longer translucent tube bearing a same sized embolar distal process. Embolic prolateral process with narrow translucent distal area ( Fig. 2C View FIGURES 2 ).

Distribution. This species is know from southern Mexico, USA (Florida) and the Caribbean region to northern Argentina.

Remarks. The type specimens of G. wasmanniae have been examined and are clearly conspecific with C. simplex . We likewise treat Lucetia distincta as a synonym of C. simplex based on the description and illustrations provided by Dumitresco & Georgesco (1983).
