Type material. Male holotype and female paratype from Estação Biológica de Boracéia, -23.53333°, -45.85000°, Salesópolis, São Paulo, Brazil, May 18, 2001 to May 24, 2001, Equipe Biota deposited in IBSP 67290 PBI_ OON 25612 and IBSP 67295 PBI_ OON 25613 , respectively.
Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality. It is to be treated as a noun in apposition.
Diagnosis. The species resembles C. campana sp. nov. and C. iguazu sp. nov. Males of this species can be distinguished from the first by the long embolar prolateral process, surpassing the conductor tip in at last one time of its length ( Figs 79E View FIGURES 79 , 76G View FIGURES 76 ); can be distinguished from the last by the narrow and sharp pointed conductor ( Figs 76G, H View FIGURES 76 ) withour dorsal incisions ( Fig. 83H View FIGURES 83 ). Females can be distinguished from both above cited species by the shape of internal genitalia with very robust lateral apodemes, twice as large than the sclerotized wall area ( Fig. 78H View FIGURES 78 ).
Description. Male ( IBSP 67290 PBI _OON 25612). Total length: 1.62. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace orange-brown, broadly oval in dorsal view, pars cephalica strongly elevated in lateral view, surface of elevated portion of pars cephalica smooth, sides granulate, granulation only evident near borders; lateral margin without denticles. Clypeus curved downwards in front view, high, ALE separated from edge of carapace by their radius or more, less than ALE diameter. Eyes relatively large, all subequal; ALE separated by more than their diameter, PLE-PME separated by less than PME radius. Sternum orange-brown, fused to carapace, furrow smooth, surface smooth, microsculpture absent, anterior margin with continuous transverse groove, posterior margin not extending posteriorly of coxae IV; setae originating from surface. Mouthparts: Chelicerae, endites and labium orange-brown. Chelicerae anterior face unmodified; retromargin without teeth; fangs without tooth-like projections; paturon inner margin with brush, laminate groove absent. Labium anterior margin indented at middle. Endites: anteromedian part forming a groove between serrula and the apical portion. ABDOMEN: rounded posteriorly; dorsum soft portions pale white. Pedicel scuto-pedicel region with paired curved scutal ridges, plumose setae absent, ridge double, dorsal one larger. Dorsal scutum orange-brown, middle surface punctate, sides punctate. Epigastric scutum anterior spiracles secondary openings at level of epigastric furrow under a fold, inconspicuous. Postepigastric scutum orange-brown, long, semicircular, without posteriorly directed lateral apodemes. Spinneret scutum large. LEGS: orange-brown. GENI- TALIA: Epigastric region with sperm pore oval, situated in front of anterior spiracles, rebordered. Palp proximal segments orange-brown. Conductor narrowing towards end, distal tip long and narrow; embolar tip a short translucent tube with short embolar distal process; embolar prolateral process filiform with narrow undulate translucent dorsal area ( Figs 76G View FIGURES 76 ̅H, 77A̅D).
Female ( IBSP 67295 PBI _OON 25613). As in male except as noted. Total length: 1.79. CEPHALOTHORAX: Mouthparts: paturon inner margin with short inter-digitating setae. GENITALIA: internal genitalia chitinized wall area reduced ( Fig. 78H View FIGURES 78 ).
