Gamasomorpha platensis Birabén, 1954: 193 View in CoL , figs 18-21, 47 (Female holotype from La Plata, 34°55’17”S 57°57’16”W, Buenos Aires, Argentina, II̅1941, Rosas Costa col., deposited in MLP 16296 PBI_OON 05456, examined).
Diagnosis. The species resembles C. floridana comb nov. by the elongated abdomen, but it can be distinguished by the shape of the internal genitalia with conspicuous posterior lip-like border and shorter and narrow apodemes ( Fig. 67H View FIGURES 67 ).
Description. Male. Unknown.
Female ( MLP 16296 PBI _OON 05456). Total length: 1.86. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace orange-brown, ovoid in dorsal view, pars cephalica slightly elevated in lateral view, surface of elevated portion of pars cephalica granulate, sides granulate; lateral margin without denticles. Clypeus curved downwards in front view, high, ALE separated from edge of carapace by their radius or more, around ALE diameter. Eyes all subequal; ALE separated by more than their diameter, PLE-PME separated by less than PME radius. Sternum orange-brown, fused to carapace, furrow with rows of small pits, surface finely punctuate, microsculpture medially and in furrows, posterior margin not extending posteriorly of coxae IV; setae originating from surface. Mouthparts: Chelicerae, endites and labium orange-brown. paturon inner margin with short inter-digitating setae. Labium anterior margin indented at middle. ABDOMEN: rounded posteriorly; dorsum soft portions pale white. Pedicel scuto-pedicel region with paired curved scutal ridges, plumose setae absent. Dorsal scutum orange-brown, middle surface punctate, sides punctate, rugose. Postepigastric scutum orange-brown, long, semicircular. Spinneret scutum large. LEGS: orange-brown. GENITA- LIA: internal genitalia general shape subquadrate with slightly rounded anterior area, lateral apodemes curved, receptaculum rounded ( Fig. 67H View FIGURES 67 ).
Other material examined. None.
Distribution. This species is only know from the type locality in Argentina.
