Geographical distribution: Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina, and Uruguay.
Distribution in Brazil: Southeast and South regions (SP, SC, RS) ( Hungerford 1954; Neri et al. 2005).
Comments: Nieser and Melo (1997) mentioned seeing specimens from MG that could correspond to this species, but the identification needed to be confirmed. Therefore, the record is not considered here.
