Stridulivelia (Stridulivelia) Hungerford, 1929 (10 species)
Comments: Polhemus and Spangler (1995) mentioned the occurrence of Stridulivelia cinctipes ( Champion, 1898) in Santarém, Brazil, based on a type-specimen from this locality. However, Champion (1898) was checked and the type of the species mentioned is an apterous female caught near Panama City, Panama. The revisions of Hungerford (1929b) and Drake and Menke (1962) were also checked, and no comment was found affirming that the typelocality of the species would be different from Panama. Taking this and the absence of other records of S. cinctipes from Brazil into consideration, even on the examined material presented by Polhemus and Spangler (1995), the species is not considered in the present list.
