Lethocerus annulipes (Herrich-Schäffer, 1845) View in CoL
Geographical distribution: Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Belize, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Honduras, Nicaragua, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Trinidad & Tobago, Panama, Suriname, French Guiana, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, Argentina, and Uruguay. Records north of Mexico are questionable and not considered valid here.
Distribution in Brazil: all regions (AM, MT, BA, GO, MG, SP, RJ, SC, RS) ( Ribeiro 2005; Perez-Goodwyn 2006).
Comments: Perez-Goodwyn (2006) recorded this species from “ Brazil, Rio Branco.” No collector data is given, but the material is deposited in NHMW, the same collection from which Todd (1957b) examined specimens with “Rio Branco” labels caught by J. D. Haseman. As explained below for some Gelastocoridae species, such locality might be situated on RR or AM.
